The 2022 Phantom X 12 has been completely revitalised to showcase a fresh aesthetic and a refined mid-section that boasts a thinner profile. As the pinnacle of the Phantom line, renowned for its high moment of inertia (MOI), this latest model has been designed for enhanced forgiveness, more straightforward alignment, and confidence-boosting performance. The inclusion of stability-focused weight distribution within the 12’s elegantly curved stainless steel wings ensures consistent gameplay, while the newly crafted precision milled 6061 aluminium face and core maximises perimeter weighting.
An elongated face-to-flange sight line in dove grey serves to guide your aim, complemented by a redesigned, squared flange and sole that simplify alignment, imparting a "longer" appearance to the new 12. With a misted texture and a glare-reducing finish, both the anodised 6061 aluminium and 303 stainless components showcase impeccable craftsmanship, marrying tradition with a contemporary design. Customisable stainless steel sole weights allow for fine-tuning of the optimal putter length-to-weight ratio, cementing this design as one of the most sophisticated face-balanced high-MOI mallets yet.
The updated Phantom X 12 is also available in a left-handed option.
2022 PHANTOM X TECHNOLOGY
Each new model in the 2022 Phantom X line is a harmonious blend of steel and aluminium, with nine out of ten variants being expertly engineered with a solid, precision-milled 303 stainless steel face and body combined with a 6061 aircraft-grade aluminium sole and flange component. The Phantom X 12 features an aluminium face and sole paired with stainless steel wings to maximise MOI, whilst its streamlined flange and improved alignment guarantee a longer-looking, easier-to-aim update compared to previous iterations.
SOLID STAINLESS STEEL FACE/BODY CONSTRUCTION
Meticulously crafted in the United States from a solid block of 303 stainless steel, the Phantom X models—including the 5, 5.5, 5s, 7, 7.5, 9, 9.5, 11, and 11.5—showcase a solid stainless steel face that extends throughout the body and wings. This construction is further enhanced by an integrated aluminium sole and flange component, resulting in exceptional performance and playability with a consistent sound and soft feel.
PRECISION MILLED, TOUR-INSPIRED SHAPES
Drawing on insights from touring professionals and validated by numerous victories worldwide in 2021, the 2022 Phantom X mallets reflect player preferences through features such as precision milled solid stainless steel faces, sleek putter head profiles, refined alignment aids, durable finishes, and tailored shaft and neck configurations.
COMBINATION ALIGNMENT
This unique golf putter introduces a clever combination of traditional topline visibility, sight dot alignment on the sweet spot, and elongated sight lines milled into the raised flange. This design feature effectively frames the golf ball and provides expert alignment assistance at address.
MID-BEND SHAFT TECHNOLOGY
The stepless steel shaft has been specifically engineered to minimise face rotation, or arc, during the putting stroke, incorporating a single "mid" bend directed straight down the target line.
PHANTOM X WEIGHTING & SHAFTS
Every new Phantom X putter boasts advanced stability weighting with two custom stainless steel heel-toe weights and stepless steel shafts.
Additionally, the Phantom X putters come equipped with an updated Pistolero Plus grip, featuring a non-slip decorative texture. This grip, akin to its predecessors, has a reduced taper in the lower hand, delivering the ideal combination of size, feel, and feedback when used with Phantom X mallet putters.
