Garmin Approach R10 Portable Launch Monitor

Really impressive for such a low price. I use Awesome Golf for the range and practice and like their medium realistic 4 golf courses, wish they had more. I use Hometee Hero for the 40K golf courses despite it being cartoony. Both aps are accurate.

Great product, do easy to set up, and has helped my swing path.

I’ve tried a few launch monitors and this has to be the best hands down! It’s super compact and gives a great deal back in terms of stats. It’s not a track man so don’t compare to the TM. That said if you want stats+ then this device is going to help you get dialled in 10/10

I use the R10 for practice with a net and it is just about perfect for the price. The overall instructions in particular access to the data on the phone for review. The golf bag information could be improved by adding more club variations to aid identity. In honesty I have not seen better for the price.

Awesome simulator for the price. Great accuracy. Easy imstallation and syncing wirh phone or tablet. Carrying case provided.

My use is exclusively indoors against a network. The information it provides is very good and very useful to correct errors and improve strokes.

I had a practice net already but always struggled to get the motivation to use it. Since purchasing the Garmin Approach R10 Portable Launch Monitor it made my practice sessions much more fun, providing constructive feedback instantly meaning I know really enjoy my sessions in the net. I also use the device whenever I go to the range at the golf club, its really helping me improve my consistency and hopefully will help me to achieve a lower handicap. You'll need to ensure you align the device properly, otherwise it won't provide accurate data. There's a subscription charge to use the 42,000 virtual golf course beyond the trial period, which you'll need to factor into the whole life costs. At the price though, I don't think you'll find another launch monitor that provides the same features at a lower price.

I use the Garmin in the back garden. I bought it without realising you have to hit real balls! One practice net install later and I can play full rounds of golf with my sons, or any of the lads coming over for a practice. For £10 a month you can play a round on any course that's on your Garmin watch. We play anything from our local par 3 to Augusta national. I couldn't recommend it more. As with all tech it misses the odd shot etc but overall it's fabulous. If you plan on using it with a tablet to view your shots you'll have to download Garmin golf from an alternative site. Tablets won't be supported but it works fine.

I bought this as I'm a 'numbers' freak and wanted data on my swing/distances etc. I was using the TopTracer a lot, but they're very expensive for a bucket of balls and another range near me without TopTracer is much cheaper. I loved the price of the R10 compared to a GC Quad or similar device as well as the range of data it collects I love this thing! First time out I took it to the TopTracer range and assessed the numbers it was generating compared to TopTracer. And, everything matched what TopTracer was showing! Yardages were within 1 or 2 yards of TopTracer, and direction/curve were also very accurate. I loved that it shows everything on my phone screen, and that it keeps all my data in my Garmin Connect account for later viewing. It's so easy to set up; just link to the Garmin Golf app, position behind the ball using an alignment stick, and swing!! Absolutely no issues setting it up or using it Would very highly recommend to anyone!

Easy to set up and all the numbers you need for a budget golf launch monitor/simulator. Very accurate and lots of fun features.
