The Scotty Cameron 2022 H22 Black Limited Proto brings forth an innovative addition to the realm of high-performance blade putters. With its stunning dark accents, including the sleek Tour Black finish on both the putter head and shaft, this first-ever Newport 1.5 Plus model offers players a distinct blade design that is slightly wider, creating a bold and confidence-inspiring aesthetic.
This seasonal release features a limited edition putter that integrates advanced technology within a specialty setup, showcasing the evolution of Scotty’s iconic blade design. The ‘Plus’ concept effortlessly marries the chic look and setup advantages of a blade with the stability features that are generally associated with larger, high-MOI putters.
Utilising a proven multi-material design methodology, the H22 Black Limited Proto boasts a remarkable dark colour palette. This is evident in its precision-milled 303 stainless steel body and the mil-spec, stencil-styled engraved 6061 aluminium sole plate, which is anodised in a striking black finish. The putter measures 34.5” and includes a toe flow-promoting jet neck. Additionally, it is equipped with a new textured Pistolero Plus grip, a tailored headcover, and a model-specific shaft band. The familiar three-dot design from Scotty Cameron is beautifully revealed in the machined metal circles intricately milled into the back pocket.
In total, only 1,500 pieces have been crafted for a global release on December 22, 2022.
The H22 Black Limited Newport 1.5 Plus showcases the classic curvy features of the beloved Newport shape, yet introduces a unique, slightly wider profile than the standard face-to-flange blade dimensions. This design not only provides a striking view from address but also increases the Moment of Inertia (MOI), all while maintaining the clean aesthetics and precise alignment characteristics synonymous with blade putters.
MULTI-MATERIAL CONSTRUCTION
The H22 Black Limited model continues to exemplify Scotty Cameron’s renowned construction methodology by integrating complementary materials to achieve desired performance attributes. The ‘Plus’ model features a precision-milled 6061 aircraft-grade aluminium sole plate that is expertly incorporated into the 303 stainless steel putter head, ensuring optimal weight distribution, balance, and feel.
