Powakaddy FX/CT Trolley Umbrella Holder

Fit and function is excellent. Once in place you don’t take it off so it’s slightly in the way in terms of trolley portability. It doesn’t obstruct clubs being pulled from the bag especially if it’s positioned pointing away from the bag. Very useful.

Really good free accessory that holds my umbrella. Really happy with it

A really solid grip in terms of the lock and teeth. Have had several holders of other makes that are either difficult to tighten or teeth so shallow, the holder moves on bumps or in strong wind. The only reason for 4 rating is I already have an accessory station and to send one with every accessory is a shocking waste of resources.

Powercaddy always falue for money and very well made

This Umbrella Holder is bulky and restricts access to clubs in the bag. Design would have been better if located on the side of the handle as located as it is in the middle it is difficult to access clubs.

Purchased holder with new trolley. Found it simple to fit. Had read a review which said it stopped trolley fitting in trolley bag. This was not what I found .Trolley still fitted OK.

Took seconds to attach, folds away when string trolley, simple to attach and un-attach umbrellas

This accessory for the new Powakaddy range is not very well designed or built. Design-wise, the only fitment position is on the top of the handle, therefore this puts the umbrella holder, when folded, directly behind, and in the way of, any golf club heads stored in the bottom of any attached golf bag, even when using Powakaddy's own cart bags. This means you either need to reorganise your clubs to avoid the bottom most position, or put up with wrestling clubs in/out each time you use one from that position. It is as if Powakaddy hadn't foreseen that people using this accessory on the CT6 may actually put clubs in their golf bag, noting gravity ensure clubs fall to the lowest position, which is then behind the holder when not in use!! Build-wise, even when in use it seems impossible to get sufficient tightness on the screw mechanism to stop the holder, with an umbrella inside, from swaying around. This is more than just the flex of the plastic due to the weight of an umbrella, you can actually see the bracket has movement too meaning the side plates haven't nipped the holder tightly enough. Also any thin handled umbrellas have even more pitch and roll due to the design of the tube into which the umbrella is placed. Overall very poor.

Good umbrella holder but a bit bulky. Also it could be more practical in terms of being able to remove without having to carry a Philips screwdriver. This means it has to be left on which in turn makes it difficult to zip up the trolly bag.
