Founded in 1925 by Elver B Lamkin, making them the first manufacturer of grips for golf clubs. They become the major supplier of leather grips for manufacturers to use on their clubs. They continue to make leather grips right through to 1963, when they introduce their first hybrid grips, Leather/Rubber.
In 1980 they start using synthetic materials to enhance the feel and durability of their grips. From there they have continued to use innovations in technology to market new styles of grips. And in 2010 they celebrated their 85 year anniversary.
