Callaway Mavrik Max Fairway Wood

Bought to replace a 20 degree hybrid which I was not happy with the results from use. Found this club great to look at behind the ball and great results so far off the tee, winter conditions so off a mat on fairways producing similar results. Can't wait for Summer ??

Despite the low loft, it’s still very forgiving. Only downside is shaft doesn’t feel like a normal stiff and so quite spinny

A great fairway wood ... the 13.5degree loft makes for great penetration and distance even in the wind. Picks the ball well off the fairway and light rough. More difficult from heavier rough but still smooth.

Lovely looking club and very easy to use from either tee or fairway.

A very easy to use driver. With a most forgiving head, even off centre strikes travel straight and long. And, with little effort, will provide a draw bias, which may suit others. Great value for money.

I went for the senior stiffness and found it very forgiving, I am gaining confidence all of the time with the club. It was recommended to me and I am passing it on.

As good as the other Mavrik clubs I have. Really like the Mavrik Driver but swapped and have changed others to Mavrik. The max is very forgiving

Ver good and easy to use, use on first tee and then on par 3 holes along with fairway and rough

Needed a new 3 wood so after much deliberation and review I went for the Mavrik as I already owned the driver from this range. It did not disappoint and after getting used to it on the range I took it out onto the course. A par 3 which I've always struggled to reach with my old 3 wood was easily reached using the Mavrik. Next time it was a long par 3 that once again I've struggled to get near, and once again the Mavrik Max came good. I reckon it's added a minimum 25 yards to my 3 wood game. Not used it off the fairway but to be honest, I tend not to use any woods of the fairway - my skill level is just not good enough. Very happy with this club

Having used rescue clubs for many years, 18 degree and 24 degree Ping G400s, I never felt the need to have a 5 wood, until a friend of similar age and handicap, late 50s and 11, bought a Ping G430 5 wood. I tried it but couldn't get on with it. So I looked at others at golfonline and the Mavrik caught my eye. Particularly being a Callaway as I have Apex irons. I looked at all the reviews and thought I would take the plunge, particularly at the great price, £169. It has been a revelation, going further than my Ping G400 3 wood, about 200 yards. It does have a draw bias, which you have to adjust to, but is very forgiving. Considering the price, compared with new 5 woods at £300+, golfonline's price is an absolute bargain. Strongly recommended.

More forgiving than my old big Bertha fairway wood. Easy to hit from fairway but requires concentration from 2nd cut.

A great addition to my bag, great feel and weight when using this club off the fairway, I would highly recommend this club.

I bought the driver which was so good and gave me confidence, so without trying it bought the five wood. It feels great has a good sound and performs well. It was delivered in a day !!

Excellent club which is quite forgiving for the average player

Only used for a couple of weeks but I’ve found this a great club. Goes almost as long as my 3 wood and is easier to hit and more forgiving on mis-hits. Great looking club at address too, doesn’t look too big and the face isn’t overly deep which I love.

Great weighted club looks good in your hands played easy with a great sound on impact.

After many 6 years out, I went wuth this 5 wood and the driver. My 24 tear old Tiitlest 975d were put away This club feels so good when you hit. An amazing feeling and a lovely sound when you hit it. I'm absolutely lovely the callaway mavrik max woods I would highly recommend someone trying them out and then buying them. I find this club easy to hit from the fairway and light rough. The ball travels a good distance and at nice high trajectory on most strokes. Is very forgiving on mishit shots. It feels nice to hold and gives you confidence when addressing the ball. A very good club.

3+ wood Mavric max excellent from the tee when you struggle usung a driver . Good distance and a low flight .

This fairway wood has been a game changer for me. It is very easy to hit off the tee, the fairway and the first cut of rough. It is extremely forgiving. Its loft and shaft length have helped me to gain distance I could not achieve with my hybrids. Would highly recommend it to those struggling with distance.

Club does what I expected so I am happy with my purchase!

I was nervous about how I would get on with the larger headed Max over the normal sized fairway wood it was replacing, but in lots of ways it is more confidence inspiring. It is easy to hit and very forgiving. The flight of the ball is higher than with my existing XR Fairway which has to be good. It has a Golf Pride align grip which is supposed to be good but to be honest I would have preferred it with a standard grip as it doesn't do anything for me due to the manner I grip the club, but we'll see how I get on with it in time. The only thing I don't like is the headcover which is far too tight for the larger head of the Maxx. I hope it stretches in time or I shall be sourcing a replacement.

I have never hit a fairway wood as well as I hit this. Great addition to my back and if you have trouble hitting a ball off the deck, don't worry, this has got your back. Great club for sure.
